Oh, my hurting knees! The hurt took me to the “walk-in,” which was followed by an appointment with an orthopedic doctor who sent be back to my regular doctor, who then recommended a podiatrist for custom orthotics. The cost of the orthotics was excessive and not covered by insurance. The status of my knees had not changed. I started a new approach. A friend had gotten orthotics from a chiropractor. I called a number of chiropractors and finally found a friendly voice in Dr. Mike. He said he could get me an affordable orthotic. After consulting with him, I decided to have adjustments as well as orthotics. Dr. Mike said he would try to “walk on water” to solve my problems. After a week I felt I was walking on air. The knees have continued to improve, it seems like I have new feet and knees. I guess Dr. Mike does “walk on water.” At any rate, I seem to be walking in the clouds. Wonderful! Thank you, Dr. Mike

Mai Vang Mee Thao, a 2004 graduate from our very own Wausau East High School, brings her passion in
caring for others to Baker Borski Chiropractic in April of 2010. After graduating, Mai had her first child at age 18 and had to put her career goals aside to concentrate on motherhood. She now is a mother of four children: James, Kaylee, Lana, and Max. They have two dogs Cyrus and Springer and live here in Wausau.
When not in the office Mai likes to spend her time working on arts and crafts, writing, singing and enjoying the outdoors with her family and friends.
Mai, who has lived between Wausau and the Fox Cities area, learning a variety of jobs and skills, has a new goal. She has become a fully trained Chiropractic Assistant, fulfilling her goal of having a lifelong career and not just a job. She regularly attends Chiropractic Assistant training classes for additional education. After a year of being a trained Chiropractic Assistant, Mai decided she wanted to pursue and advanced to
the next level. In November of 2011 Mai attended Chiropractic Technician classes and passed her exam. She was certified in Cold Laser Therapy and Hot/Cold Pack Therapy. A year later in November of 2012 she was given the opportunity to expand her knowledge and advanced her skills by attending Chiropractic Radiology Technician classes in Madison. She completed her final class and took her exam in mid December and received her score and certificate on December 31, 2012. She now handles all therapies, X-rays, and insurance in the office.
Mai enjoys coming to the office everyday and seeing all the patients. The last four years of being with Baker Borski Chiropractic has been exactly what she has been looking for. Mai can’t wait to see how far her career here can take her, and what more she can accomplish.
